The way that nature constantly changes and alters the world around us is wonderful to behold. We understand parts of it but so much is a total puzzle to us. We can sometimes observe and describe the change with out always knowing the why or how. The changes that create a butterfly are still magical and a stunning creation. This dimensional embroidery is worked with silk threads; many of the details set out from the background fabric.

This beautiful Mot Mot Bird was designed by Audrey Francini. It is stitched in Japanese flat silk in the a technique that combines Japanese and crewel embroidery called soft shading. |
